young blood
The challenge was to react to the statement: I’m a young (attribute according to the nationality) architect. The exhibition space reserved for each installation is limited by 3.6 m3. The name of each country is deliberately misspelled. Installations of the participating studios contain original interpretations of this mistake. An installation should hence express the studio’s attitude to the current situation on the young domestic architectural scene.
Originally we did not intend at all to react in our project to the error in the sentence. This is mainly because of the small importance we attach to spelling errors. The main theme should have been the digitalization of architecture or the digital medium in architecture, how we look at architecture and how, in our view, new technologies are transforming it. Eventually the theme of the spelling error became suitable for forming or visualizing a presentation, which also should express original digital themes. In this project error is not considered derogation from the correct, but rather a possible alternative.
